This is my Final Reflection!

If our computer began to slow down after doing various tasks, I would consider a few different things. First, I would check the computer’s storage and CPU usage. If our storage and CPU is full then I would research replacement parts on the PC part picker website. Alternatively, I would also inspect the computer’s system to see if there are too many applications running with the command “systemctl.” I would then uninstall all unnecessary functions with pacman -R package.

After going through this course, I feel confident in my ability to work with computers. For example, if a computer became a brick (lost all its functions), I would be able to attempt to bring it back with online wikipedias. Moreover, I feel confident that I now understand what each of the computer’s parts do.

Linux and Mac are extremely different computer interfaces that each have advantages and disadvantages. Linux is a more programmable framework that allows users to access more of the computer's root functions that grants the user full control of their computer. However, the mac is notorious for being more user friendly. For the average U.S. citizen that doesn’t know how to operate in a terminal, using Mac would certainly be better.

To an 8th grader, I would suggest that they set reasonable goals for the course. While downloading and installing different software to your computer, it is important to acknowledge that there are unpredictable problems that could arise. For these reasons, I would advise that you keep fair goals in mind but also give yourself room to explore different computer functions.
